I have a bachelor's in supply chain, but don't have any skills or experience. Will I be okay?
I had a couple years of school where I did use Excel, but I cannot really grasp it very well (my classmates always seemed to be a few steps ahead of me - I couldn't wrap my head around pivot tables among other things). I don't know any programs like python - do you think I'll be able to find a career in supply chain despite my incompetencies? I was hoping to do remote work. I graduated in August this year and am still looking for a job. I'm bad at socializing/networking and don't have any solid skills... but I think I'm technically literate if that counts for anything... submitted by /u/keewala1 [link] [comments]

What can I do with a Biochemistry Bachelor's Degree?
Hello everyone. I need some advice since I haven't done many extracurriculars. I will graduate this June, and I'm unsure of what to do. I plan on pursuing a Biochemistry PhD, after about a year, but first I would like some more time to decompress a bit from schoolwork. If everything goes well, I plan on graduating with an ACS-accredited Biochemistry diploma. I also wish to pursue some work or research for more experience. Good ways to learn outside of classes?
Hey fellas, Im currently a senior SCM major and am about to take a global supply chain management course as a capstone to the major. The course has a reputation of being extremely difficult. My question to you is, what are some good resources to encompass myself in supply chain related topics and resources that could possibly sharpen my understanding of some of the more complex/specified topics within the field? Whether it be an SCM magazine, podcast, etc. , what do some of you use to continually sharpen your sword in your free time? submitted by /u/WiseGuy150287 [link] [comments]

Supply Chain Management in R Webinar
Mods, if this violates rule 2 please remove. Many people on this sub use R and Python for their work. RStudio (the big commercial outfit promoting use of both languages at scale) is hosting its second R in SCM meeting on Tuesday at 11-1230 CST. I (Ralph) am speaking on supply chain network design using R and the Shiny visualization app. Another speaker will be discussing demand forecasting on pharma using R. As part of the meeting there will also be a callout for volunteers to help build the community of R and Python users in SCM. Hope that some on this sub can watch. It should also be recorded for YouTube. https://www.linkedin.com/events/rinsupplychain-introtosupplycha6883783489108504576 submitted by /u/datadrivensc [link] [comments]

How is the work-life balance in your career track and industry?
Non-native English speaker here. By supply chain I am referring to a very broad definition including sub sectors such as Export-Import, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Inventory/Purchasing and so on. How is the work life balance in your career track and industry? When thinking of work-life balance, some parameters would be flexibile working environments (flextime), remote work, number of work hours, the pace of the work, being on-call after hours or not and so on. As a rule of thumb if you as a single mother if its possible to attend the child's science fair or as a caregiver if its possible to take the care receiver to the doctor now and then--then there is a good work life balance. submitted by /u/Experimentalphone [link] [comments]

EVSE availability/what to do with unused EVSE
Hey everyone, trying to figure out what to do with our EVSE. We have a year old ChargePoint Home Flex NEMA 6-50 but we're moving out of the country for a few years and renting our house. Our renter doesn't have an EV so we're trying to decide if we should pack it up, just leave it installed maybe with the breaker off, or even sell it and buy a new one when we come back. Feels like a waste to let it sit unused for three years and it'd be great if someone else could use it in that time. It seems like they are in short supply right now, but I haven't seen much news on it. Is it just COVID-related supply chain shortages? I'm also worried about being able to get one when we're back, but if we do sell ours, I'm hoping three years should be enough for the supply chains to improve. Appreciate your insights! submitted by /u/BonChance123 [link] [comments]
