[closed] The question states the following exactly; String is wrapped around the periphery of a 0.05m radius cylinder, free to rotate on its axis. The string is pulled straight out at a constant rate of 0.1m/s and does not slip on the cylinder. As each small segment is string leaves the cylinder, its acceleration changes by : A-0 , B-0.01 , C-0.02 , D-0.2 I thought it would be 0 because I did not make sense to me that acceleration would change given that the string does not slip and its being pulled out at a constant rate which is essentially tangential velocity so shouldn't the answer be 0? The key says it changes by 0.2 m/s^2. And yes, they didn't elaborate on what acceleration they're referring to, I'm assuming its the tangential acceleration of the cylinder because it makes the most sense to me.
