Should I accept a balance transfer offer?
One of my credit cards that I only keep open because it is one of my oldest cards keeps sending me offers for balance transfer w/ 0% interest for a year. Catch is, theres a 4% transfer fee. I can transfer up to the total amount available credit on the card which is the whole thing. My car loan is 6.5%. And I have a high yield savings account with a 5.25% APR. I was thinking I could store the money in the HY all year, pay the card back and then pay the 2.75% interest I essentially earned on my car loan. Does this make sense? Loan amount would be about $4k to cover the car payment for the year. I dont think it would drastically impact my credit utilization. TL:DR - should I accept a balance transfer offer at 4%? submitted by /u/Safe_Respect_4074 [link] [comments]

Charles Schwab App is horrible
Almost a year after acquiring TD , I still don't like it. I hate their phone app. it is awful too many steps to do one thing. Do you have suggestions of a brokerage with a user friendly, easy phone app? .I don't like fidelity too. My other question is If I want to transfer my account from SC to a different brokerage in the future, do they do selling of my account holdings first and then buy with current price? Or are they gonna just transfer same quantity and cost bases ? TIA submitted by /u/Low_Impression_9204 [link] [comments]

Question about FastSpring for a SaaS and soft-declined payments
Hello Everyone! We use FastSpring to sell software (yearly subscriptions) from 1 year and on overall it works without too much troubles. However, we occasionally (2-3 times a week) have users and businesses that contact us for failed payments (they just get an error payment failed). After checking reports all these failed payments have error DECLINED_SOFT Proc=7 (we also get other Proc= errors but they all get resolved on the second payment retry from the user, except the ones with this 7 error code). After writing to the users, it seems that FastSpring failed to make the payment request because the banks that provided the credit card to the users said they noticed no transactions at all and said the problem is on FastSpring side (an user was using an Amex and another one a Union). When offering these users to pay via Stripe it went fine with the same card, so this indeed seems probably an issue on FastSpring system and not on the bank, but of course I dont know what is hap

Navigating the US health insurance as an international student on OPT
I'm an international student living in MA. My current insurance is BCBS, which I got through my school. I'm graduating next month and will have to get new insurance by the beginning of August. However, there's too much information, and I'm not sure how to navigate this. Can I just enroll in any insurance in the market? Will there be any requirements or waiting period? With my current insurance, I can virtually see a therapist in my country because the hospital is in-network with GeoBlue, which belongs to BCBS. If possible, I still want to continue seeing her. According to the hospital's website, it also accepts Aetna International, Cigna International, and UnitedHealth International. Does this mean if I use any of these insurances, I'd be able to see its in-network providers in other countries like what I'm doing now? Or will I need to buy extra coverage? Thank you in advance for your help! submitted by /u/MaybeOk9928 [link] [comme

How to add every song in my library to a single playlist?
Hello. I made a new apple account and want to transfer all the songs in my apple music library, from my old account to my new account. I've read online that the quickest way to do so would be to create a playlist on the old account and add all of the songs, send it on email or messages or something similar, to be accessed by the new account and added to its library. I have over 6000 songs in my library so going one by one, or starting afresh isn't ideal. I read that an automatic transfer can be done on windows with a smart playlist, but I'm not really sure what options to pick for that to happen. I can't find a detailed guide anywhere... If there is a better way of going about this, please do let me know. Of course feel free to ask any questions. tldr: how to add every song in my library to a single playlist? preferably using a smart playlist or similar methods. Thanks in advance submitted by /u/Miserable_District [link] [comments]

What $(2+0)d$ classical model becomes the $(1+1)d$ Heisenberg model?
The $(1+1)d$ transverse-field Ising chain is closely related to the $(2+0)d$ Ising model. In particular, the $(2+0)d$ classical Ising model has a transfer matrix that can be written suggestively as $e^{K_z sum_i sigma^z_{i} sigma^z_{i+1}} e^{ar{K}_x sum_i sigma^x_{i}}$ ; in the extremely anisotropic limit of $K_z, ar{K}_x o 0$ , this reduces to an exponential of $-sum_isigma^z_{i} sigma^z_{i+1} + frac{ar{K}_x}{K_z} sigma^x_{i}$ , the Hamiltonian of the transverse-field Ising chain. I will call the $(2+0)d$ classical Ising model the classical counterpart to the $(1+1)d$ transverse-field Ising chain. Does the Heisenberg magnet of $$H = -Jsum_i sigma^x_{i} sigma^x_{i+1}+sigma^y_{i} sigma^y_{i+1}+sigma^z_{i} sigma^z_{i+1}$$ have a $(2+0)d$ classical counterpart in the sense above involving a transfer matrix?

Ideal Sapphire Card to pursue
I'm currently at 4/24. AMEX is typically who I prefer because I've had such good experience with their customer service. I have 225,000 MR Points with AMEX, and 128,722 UR Points with Chase. Current cards include Wells Fargo Autograph (Sock Drawer) Bilt Mastercard AMEX Platinum AMEX Gold AMEX Blue Business Plus Chase Freedom Flex Chase Ink Cash (Welcome bonus pending) Chase Ink Unlimited Points will be spent almost entirely for trips to Japan. I'm getting engaged soon and I'll want to pick up a second card that can cover her Global Entry such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred or the Venture X, and I need a Chase Card to be able to transfer those points. However, with the cards above I don't see any reason to put spend onto the Sapphire card - I just want the benefits of it. After spending the stockpiled points, I'll probably downgrade it to a Freedom Flex Card to have a collective 3k limit for rotating categories. So does it make mo
