Is this mortgage fraud or any type of fraud?
Seller (LLC 1) and buyer (LLC 2) know each other but lender is not aware. Buyer (3 people in LLC 2) has shown lender financial statements with total of $500k+ in all accounts. Purchase price is $190k on a new construction home that is 70-80% complete, bank loans 80%, so $38k down payment is needed. Not all of buyers funds are liquid so buyer cant come up with $38k total. Is it illegal for the seller to provide the down payment to the buyer? What if its through cashiers check from seller to the personal account of one of the buyers LLC 2 and from there goes to buyers account with lender? Buyer is more than capable of finishing job with net monthly income totaling 20k but doesnt have upfront cash for down payment. How likely is it the lender would require a paper trail of funds and would see it came from sellers LLC? Is there any way around this? submitted by /u/Additional-Story-422 [link] [comments]

Absolute cluster with Citi card
Vent alert: After reconciling a credit card statement against Amazon purchases I had two unknown charges on my statement that didn't match any purchases, video rental, Prime membership fee, absolutely nothing. They were also the same odd amount. Que the call to Citi fraud dept. I clearly indicated which 2 charges I was disputing as fraud, verified all other charges were legitimate purchases, and Fraud Dept reports charge backs to Amazon for the legitimate purchases vs the 2 mystery charges. Now I have a locked out Amazon account and a complete mess to deal with. The only prompt I get on Amazon .com is to verify & recharge all of my purchases again. I'm sure nothing could go wrong with that, right? <sarcasm> How can a Fraud Dept w/Citi card be this inept? submitted by /u/snow-bird- [link] [comments]

I have a couple questions
My Chapter 13 will be up in December. It's been a long 5 years. How will this affect me trying to purchase a vehicle? I bought my car 5 years ago, shortly before I filed. My attorney advised me to put the car in the bankruptcy. So I assume I will get the title for it, when the bankruptcy is done. My other question is does it take 7 years from the date of filing to fall off your credit report, or 7 years after it's discharged. Thanks for the help! submitted by /u/Tommythegunn23 [link] [comments]

Looking for new card(s) for upcoming larger purchases
We have some larger expenses coming up. I'd estimate about $15k. We have the cash saved up, but figured it would be best to put it on CC and pay that off for points/rewards etc. We only have 1 CC - a Capital One Venture card. I've had that about 14 years. We have family in Europe and travel there once a year or 2. We also fly to other parts of the state/country a couple times a year. So maybe a card that maximizes travel would make the most sense? Given our only CC - the one which anchors our credit history - is a paid card, I was thinking it would also make sense to to open a free card, in addition to any that'll maximize rewards for these short term larger expenses? In addition to any new cards, I was also thinking it could make sense for us to try and swap our Venture card for a Venture X? Or would that mess with our longest credit line? Our CC spending habits are that we we put basically all spending we can on our CC and pay off the statement balance when it's due. C

55, 8 years left on mortgage (~6%), recent inheritance can pay it off, but life changes may coming up
We are Empty Nesters. Inheritance Money is currently in a Money Market Savings at 4% so we can decide on a move a little later. Our Online account for our mortgage shows $68k balance (before calling for firm buyout from holder). Monthly bills: Original Mortgage, 2 car payments. Some credit card debt. IRA and investments are in place. Student loans. Taxes for 2023 were less than $2500 (Southeast USA). I would like to try and settle the mortgage and payoff the higher debts with the extra income. I like the idea of financial peace of mind and flexibility after paying 1k+ every month for this place over the last 20 yearsbut is it justified? Wife may be applying for better work in the next couple years and we arent scared to move if that happens. Thanks for any input. submitted by /u/Available-Locksmith3 [link] [comments]

Where should I go after 4 years in public accounting? (senior level) Trying to find my way to a job I can be comfortable at, and hopefully destress. What are senior accountant jobs like?
I'm a CPA who did 2 years b4 audit, promoted to senior, then did 2 years as a public forensic accounting firm. Getting fed up with my job/situation and want to leave. But realized I don't have much knowledge or insights on the jobs I should look for/am qualified for. Everyone says "Industry is way more chill than public" but I don't actually know what a senior accountant/ or financial analyst role would be like Honestly just hate feeling like I'm being worked as a slave on hard to grasp projects, having my time entry constantly scrutinized since we bill in 15 minute increments directly to clients, and getting thrown into intense projects where I feel lost and overwhelmed with the work at times. I have some health issues and I really want to learn how to be less overwhelmed and stressed by work in a way that works for me. Is there a job I can go to to get paid like 90k - 100k ish in a big city and at least feel competent and easily on top of my abilities to succeed

High Limit ($50k+), 0% Intro APR Credit Card
I've been on the hunt for a 0% Intro APR Credit Card with the highest limit possible, ideally ~$50k or more. I'm not concerned about good rewards or low annual fees, though the more benefits and lower fees the better. The draw of such a card is the flexibility it would provide in managing finances for some ongoing and upcoming personal and professional projects that will involve large transactions over the next year. I consider myself a generally well qualified applicant: Salaried annual income in the $250k - $500k tax bracket (general range for privacy) FICO credit score: ~825 - 850 range $750k - $1M secured debt in the form of mortgage(s) Currently have the following credit options: AMEX Platinum with no credit limit Three Credit Union Credit Cards with combined limit in ~$35k - 45k range HELOC with limit in the ~$115k - $150k range. Oldest Account is 13 years, 9 months. Most purchases are routed through the AMEX ($100k+ annually), some through the ot
